Modernization. Art, Design and Architecture in the 7th-8th Decades of the 20th Century
from 2011-12-09 to 2012-02-12
The exhibition draws attention to the "forgotten" modernization in the 7th-8th decades of the last century of Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian architecture, design and art commenced at the political and cultural "warm-up" of the Soviet Union. It is aimed to highlight the correlation of modernist creative attitude, compulsory soviet agenda and international impulses which determined the formation of residential environment in this region.
