50 years ago, when a new town of specialists in energetics, Elektrėnai, was being established, the first settlers were given modern apartments in new multistoried houses, the interiors of which were created according to the innovative cannons, suiting the period of time, in order to foster a modern socialist citizen.
Multi-functionality, modernity, rationalism – these are only a few essential features of Khrushchev’s "warming" policy, resonating in the apartment design of that period. The main purpose of the exhibition is to transfer its visitor to the time, 50 years ago, and to participate in the activity of "creating the bright future".
