A Girl with an Axe
from 2012-02-02 to 2012-02-18
Personal exhibition "A girl with an Axe" by Eglė Vertelkaitė, which consits of two parts and has become the 20th exhibition by this author, displays the works of the last three years that were not exhibited anywhere before. Exhibition contains about 70 works, ranging in their size from 1 cm up to 3,5 m. Partly continuing mute "conversations" with characters of the history of modern culture in this project, the author emphasizes talking in monologues rather than dialogues and at the same time conceptually rethinking the move of "making" the graphic art and the image of stitching, cutting or slashing.
